Desktop Operating System ( O.S ) :

  • An O.S which controls and manages both Hardware devices and application software in a single computer is called as Desktop O.S
  • Example: MSDOS, Windows 95/98/XP Home Edition ..etc

Network Operating System ( O.S ):

  • An O.S which control and manages both Hardware devices and application software in all computer in that network is called as Network O.S
  • Example:  Windows  NT/ 2000 / 2003 / UNIX / LINUX / Novell Netware ..etc

What is Networking ?

Networking: Connecting two or more computers or network devices ( Router / Print Servers / Firewall Devices etc ) for sharing the Resources ( Printer / Internet / Data / Software ...etc)

What are the advantage or need of Networking ?

By are the network resources:
